Production/Quality Engineer

I have been working with quality systems and quality control for ten years now. During these years, I worked in industries such as plastic, electronic and assembly plants, including automotive. I have a very good experience in problem solving, related to product and process. I have a nice vision of process/product improvement and cost reduction too.

Quality Coordinator - ARKE

​2014 - present

 

I currently work as a Quality Coordinator in a consumer goods industry. I am responsible for five people and the Quality System itself. My challenges are to keep the Quality System up to date and working, according to the standards. I implemented several practices here, such as traceability, incoming inspection, control plans, scrap control, metrics and analysis and process validation. I am also responsible for the calibration and control of measurement instruments , emission and update of documents, including work instructions, control plans, procedures and standards.

My goal at this company was to achieve zero non-conformity in external audits. It was fulfilled in 2015.

As a coordinator, I implemented the scrap control and achieved a reduction from 0,42% to 0,05% on billing, from 2015 to 2016.

I also managed to get zero non-conformities at external audits for two years in  a row.

 

 

Quality Systems Consultant - ARKE

​2013

 

I performed the Quality System analysis and adapted it to meet the standards requirements (ISO 9001:2008 and INMETRO decree 371) in a consumer goods industry. The work involved closing every non-conformity report, the evaluation of every document and procedure, the recruitment and training of the new staff and responding the external audit. Due to the success of my work, the company invited me to join the coordination team, becoming responsible for the whole quality process. I enjoyed this project very much, the deadlines were very short: I only had 3 months to work everything out.

I managed to grant the company’s certification within 3 months of part-time  consultancy. They had seven major NC and were about to lose the certification. It was so successful that the company  invited me to join the coordination team.

 

 

Quality Analyst - International Trucks Brazil

​2010 - 2012

 

I was responsible for supplier quality issues in the plant, both national and US material; and I also used to coordinate supplier recalls when needed. I performed supplier audit and verification in loco of non-conformity solving evidences at the supplier’s site. My daily tasks were scrap monitoring and control, opening of quality notifications and Global 8D processes to suppliers, problem solving analysis, follow up issues of South Africa plant regarding Brazilian material, orientation and training of interns and participation on improvement and cost saving teams.

I presented supplier metrics to the management team monthly and successfully implemented the return of non-quality costs and spare parts from USA suppliers.

I implemented the scrap control and refund by suppliers, and also presented the metrics monthly to the management. I was also responsible to solve BR supplier problems with the South Africa team.

Quality Coordinator - Wiretec

​2009 - 2010

 

I was engaged on the development of the quality department in the company to support the implementation of ISO 9001, since the equipment acquiring, physical organization, layout definition, development of procedures and internal training.

I implemented quality tools like incoming inspection, process inspection, FMEA, PPAP, customer support and supplier quality. My duties were also to open non-conformity reports (internal, supplier and customer) and answer certification audits.

 The certification was granted with zero non-conformity.

Development Analyst - Sulbras

​2006 - 2009

 

I performed as a project manager according to the APQP methodology focused on automotive clients since the development and monitoring of timelines, documents related to parts approval, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, dimensional and statistical analysis. At each development, we had product and process audits (customers such as Robert Bosch, Valeo) to manage and respond. I have also worked as a facilitator on the implementation of the ISO TS 16:949, focusing on Project and development requisite (7.3) and participated on maintenance audits of ISO 9001 and ISO TS.
